Jewerly Organizer
Here was my inspiration I found on Pinterest...
The end result is below! After completion I became even more inspired, and decided to make 3 more! I currently have 2 more I am working on and will post pictures when they are completed. It makes for a pretty focal point and great conversation piece.
Supplies Used: Crown molding, miter saw, wood glue, spackle, spray paint, garden netting, nails, and thin wood.
I am happy to report that I only money I spent on making this was the spray paint. You never know what you already have that can be used for the better! Isn't it pretty?
After the completion of my first organizer, I went right onto a second. This one I made a bit smaller. I auctioned this one off to a friend's(friend at the time) Autism and Suicide benefit, which earned more than 100 tickets apparently. I was happy to help out for a good cause. Update: I do not know for sure what happened to this organizer. As far as I know it could be in the trash. Be careful who you trust, the benefit (from what I heard) was a fake! Lesson learned!
The next jewelry organizer I made for my good artist friend Ame and personalized to fit her personality. Ame and Edward are also responsible for sending me on an artistic bend over the summer. They have some amazing art work I would love to display on here someday. Ame and Ed are both very inspiring artists, with very clever minds.
Ame loved her jewelry organizer! And I had such a great time making it for her. I used an old newspaper from India, scrap booking paper with jungle prints, I have hidden messages all over the place such as her favorite number. I am so happy she is making such great use of it! Now you can turn your jewelry into a work of art.
